This is a lodge for specialist thief-takers. The memebrs of the lodge of the Palm spend most of their time hunting down criminals and thieves.
It is the thief takers who typically track down those who dare to train people outside of official Guild- sanctioned channels, it is the Thief takers who investigate unsolved crimes and it is the Thief takers who ensure that their citizens are providing the state with what it is due. The Thieftakers are both feared and respected in equal measure.
Some thieftakers go further than others and partake in undercover operations infiltrating criminal organisations and tracking down the agents of enemy powers.
A section of the Brotherhood of the Palm known as The Secret Service are said to work closely with the Keep on matters of national security. In this capacity they often work closely with the Protectorate Rangers and employ the services of other lodges within the Mistwalkers.
Auxilliaries who join this lodge are expert trackers and scouts, masters of combat with the blade, skilled in takedowns, and masters of disguise and infiltration.
