The Guild of the University.
** Please note - We asked Lord Artemis Stormbringer to write the welcome pack for the University, however he was too busy (in hindsight asking him to do this on the same night as the delivery of fresh supplies of wine, spirits, and cigars for the Staffroom was a mistake) so he deligated this task to Marius the Magnificent-Squeak. The University! Most Magnificent of all the guilds where all those select few who have been granted the great gift of talent to shape raw mana (the fundamental power that creates and sustains the Universe) are lucky enough to be guided and taught how to hurl great bolts of lightning at their enemies, or step through the space between spaces to move across the world in an instant, or to send a person to sleep with but a handful of words.
The University is organised by colleges with there being six, specifically the college of Air and then the other five, and this august institution is led by that great luminary, Head of the Light college, Sorcerer Kryos, although - due to the inability of most people to look at Sorcerer Kryos thanks to his intense glow - the guild is often represented by the Stormbringer himself, the great, the one and the only Lord Artemis, Sorcerer of the Air college, former Lord Protector, and the protectorares' best looking hair winner 5 years running.
On missions members of the University stand back from the dirty and sweaty front line with all those armour clad brutes thrusting into each other, instead hurling devistating ranged attacks at the enemy from the quiet spot conveniently next to the biscuits, or to cast protective magics shielding the party in powerful mage armours, oh you need a mage armour too? and you? How many more? All of you? You know that I can throw down a great thunderbolt to knock our enemies to the ground? No? Another mage armour then...
