The Guild of the Halls of Power (Neutral Sphere)

The Halls of Power is one of four guilds in the Protectorate dedicated to those who seek a connection to the spheres of power.  There are four spheres that it is permitted to have a connection to in the Protectorate, Good, Neutral, Evil, and Nature; although there is a fifth sphere that covers the realm of undeath and the sea of lost souls - necromancy - the use of which is strictly forbidden in the Protectorate upon the pain of permanent Death.  There may be other spheres that people encounter, but as of yet are unable to make a direct connection to (for example the Sphere of Dreams)

Balance in all things, guardians against all forms of extremism, be that the excessive depredations of 'Evil' or the extremist intolerance of 'Good' as both can lead to terrible harm and need to be monitored and moderated by a balancing force, The sphere of neutrality exists to ensure that the Protectorate exists in a state of balance and harmony, contributing to a just and fair society where the rule of law is followed and the hierarchy of order is maintained.

Excellent mediators, home to the best lawyers, negotiators, as well as those who engage in fair and honest trade and commercial dealings, the Neutral Sphere is the path for those who understand that the best deals are those that result in a win-win.  The Guild also encourages scholarship and study of the past, scouring legal archives for historical precedence or by studying ancient rituals and writings for insight into the ways of our ancestors who lived in a closer harmony of the world around them.

But do not be fooled, Auxiliaries from the Halls of Power come armed with a range of useful invocations to enforce judgement to rebalance the scales of justice, able to both heal and harm in equal measure.  For is it not said that "The hand who passes the sentence, should also swing the sword".   They are the most versatile of the power users and many from both the Good and Evil Sphere see utility in taking some form of connection to the neutral sphere which the leaders of the Halls of Power encourage as it helps to moderate the extremes of both sides.

On Missions Auxiliaries from the Halls can cast offensive and defensive power, provide healing, and balance power levels through a party to ensure all tools remain available to the mission, with the exact list of powers that they can access based on whether and acolyte choses to walk The Grey Path, or if they wish to join one of the 2 main sects of the Halls.
